Shri Atul Kumar Thakur, an IPS officer, has been appointed as the Superintendent of Police (SP) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on a deputation basis. This appointment is for a period of four years from the date of assuming charge, or until further orders are issued. Copies of the order have been sent to the Central Vigilance Commissioner, the Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation, and the Ministry of Home Affairs.
