The Competent Authority has approved the induction of Ms. Sumedha, an IPS officer from the HP cadre of 2005, as Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). This appointment is for a term of five years from the date she assumes charge, or until further orders are issued, whichever comes first. Copies of this order are sent to the Director of CBI, Central Vigilance Commissioner and Ministry of Home Affairs.
