The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the induction of five Indian Police Service (IPS) officers as Joint Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The officers appointed are Ms. Sampat Meena, Shri Anurag, Shri Rakesh Aggarwal, Shri Viplav Kumar Choudhry, and Shri D.C. Jain. Each officer will serve for an overall tenure of five years from their assumption of charge, or until further orders, whichever comes earlier. Specific end dates for their tenures have been noted, with Shri D.C. Jain’s tenure being flexible. This order is communicated from the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Department of Personnel & Training.
