सा.का.नि. 1534(अ) भारतीय पुलिस सेवा (संवर्ग) नियमावली, 1954 के नियम 4 के उप-नियम (1) तथा (2) के साथ पठित अखिल भारतीय सेवाएं अधिनियम, 1951 (1951 का 61) की धारा 3 की उप-धारा (1) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, केन्द्रीय सरकार बिहार सरकार के परामर्श से भारतीय पुलिस सेवा (संवर्ग पद संख्या का नियतन) विनियमावली, 1955 में आगे और संशोधन करने के लिए एतद्वारा निम्नलिखित विनियम बनाती है, अर्थात्:-

1. (i) इन विनियमों को भारतीय पुलिस सेवा (संवर्ग पद संख्या का नियतन) आठवां संशोधन विनियमावली, 2017 कहा जाएगा।
2. (ii) ये विनियम सरकारी राजपत्र में उनके प्रकाशन की तारीख से प्रवृत्त होंगे।
3. भारतीय पुलिस सेवा (संवर्ग पद संख्या का नियतन) विनियमावली, 1955 की अनुसूची में “बिहार” शीर्षक के लिए और उनके अंतर्गत आने वाली प्रविष्टियों के लिए निम्नलिखित प्रतिस्थापित किया जाएगा, अर्थात् :-

[फा. सं. 11052/09/2017-अ.भा.से.-II(क)] ज्योत्स्ना गुम, अवर सचिव टिप्पणी (1) : इस अधिसूचना के जारी होने से पूर्व बिहार संवर्ग की कुल प्राधिकृत पद संख्या 231 थी। टिप्पणी (2) : प्रधान विनियम दिनांक 22-10-1955 की सा,का,नि, सं. 3350 द्वारा भारत के राजपत्र में प्रकाशित किए गए थे। तत्पश्चात्, भारतीय पुलिस सेवा के बिहार संवर्ग के संबंध में निम्नलिखित सा.का.नि. संख्याओं तथा तिथियों द्वारा संशोधित किए गए थे:-

G.S.R. 1534(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the All India Services Act, 1951 (61 of 1951), read with sub-rules (1) and (2) of rule 4 of the Indian Police Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954, the Central Government, in consultation with the Government of Bihar, hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Indian Police Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Regulations, 1955, namely:-

1. (1) These Regulations may be called the Indian Police Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Eighth Amendment Regulations, 2017.
   (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Indian Police Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Regulations, 1955, in the Schedule, for the heading “Bihar” and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted namely:-

Note (1): Prior to issue of this notification, the Total Authorized Strength of Bihar Cadre was 231.
Note (2): The principal regulations were published in the Gazette of India vide S.R.O. No. 3350 dated $22^{\text {nd }}$ October 1955. These were subsequently amended in respect of the Bihar Cadre by the following G.S.R. No. and date:-

सूची में भाग-क में राज्य सरकारों के अधीन भारतीय पुलिस सेवा में वरिष्ठ वेतनमान से ऊपर वेतन वाले पदों में, प्रथम कॉलम में आने वाली ‘बिहार’ प्रविष्टि तथा दूसरे कॉलम में समवर्ती प्रविष्टि के लिए निम्नलिखित प्रतिस्थापित किया जाएगा, नामत:

(ख) सूची में भाग-ख में वेतन के अतिरिक्त विशेष भत्ते वाले पदों सहित राज्य सरकारों के अधीन भारतीय पुलिस सेवा के वरिष्ठ वेतनमान वाले पदों, में ‘बिहार’ प्रविष्टि के लिए निम्नलिखित प्रतिस्थापित किया जाएगा, नामतः-

G.S.R. 1535(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the All India Services Act, 1951 (61 of 1951), the Central Government, in consultation with the Government of Bihar hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Indian Police Service (Pay) Rules, 2016, namely: –

1. (1) These rules may be called the Indian Police Service (Pay) Eighth Amendment Rules, 2017.
   (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Indian Police Service (Pay) Rules, 2016, in schedule II,-
   in Part A relating to posts carrying pay above the senior scale of pay of the Indian Police Service under the State Governments, in the table, for the entry “Bihar” occurring in the first column and corresponding entries in the second column, the following shall be substituted namely:-
   “Bihar

(b) in Part B relating to posts carrying pay in the senior scale of the Indian Police Service under the State Governments including posts carrying special allowance in addition to pay, for the entries occurring under ‘Bihar the following shall be substituted in the table,-
