New Delhi, the 6th September, 2013.
G.S.R. 611(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the All India Service Act, 1951 (61 of 1951), read with Section 61(3) of the North-Eastern Areas (Reorganisation) Amendment Act, 2012 and sub-rule 2 of Rule 4 of Indian Forest Service (Cadre) Rules, 1966, the Central Government in consultation with the Government of Tripura hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Indian Forest Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Regulations, 1966, namely –

  1. (i) These regulations shall be called the Indian Forest Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Second Amendment Regulations, 2013.
    (ii) They shall come into force from 24.12 .2012 .
  2. In the Schedule to the Indian Forest Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Regulations, 1966, for the heading “Manipur-Tripura” and the entries occurring there under, the following shall be substituted, namely :-

[No.16016/02/2013 – AIS-II (A)] MANOJ KUMAR DWIVEDI, Director (Services) Foot Note : Consequent on Amendment in the North-Eastern Areas (Reorganization) Act, 1971, a separate cadre of the Indian Administrative Service, a separate cadre of the Indian Police Service and a separate cadre of the Indian Forest Service have been constituted for the States of Manipur and Tripura vide Ministry of Law \& Justice (Legal Department) Notification dated 24.12.2012.

Note (1): Prior to issue of this notification, the Total Authorized Strength of the Indian Forest Service of Joint Cadre Manipur-Tripura was 115.

Note 2: The Principal Regulations were notified vide notification No.6/1/66-AIS(IV), dated 30.10.1966 as GSR No. 1672 in the Extraordinary Gazette of India dated 31.10.1966 and Indian Forest Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Regulations, 1966 have been amended, vide GSR Nos. given below:
