Indian Forest Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Amendment Regulations, 2013

I

New regulations have been issued to amend the Indian Forest Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Regulations, 1966. These amendments, which came into effect from December 24, 2012, specifically update the cadre structure for the State of Manipur. The previous “Manipur-Tripura” cadre has been replaced with a separate cadre for Manipur, detailing various senior duty posts within the State Government of Manipur, including Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and several Chief Conservator of Forests and Conservator of Forests positions. The document also outlines the total authorized strength for the Indian Forest Service in Manipur, including reserves for central and state deputation, training, leave, and junior posts, as well as posts to be filled by promotion and direct recruitment. A historical note mentions that prior to this notification, the total authorized strength of the joint cadre for Manipur-Tripura was 115.
