The Central Government has recently implemented a significant amendment to the framework governing the compensation for civil servants. These new regulations, officially known as the Thirteenth Amendment Rules of 1975, update the Indian Administrative Service (Pay) Rules originally established in 1954. This particular revision, undertaken in consultation with the Government of Kerala, introduces revised pay scales for specific high-ranking administrative roles within state governments. Notably, the remuneration for the First Member of the Board of Revenue in Kerala has been adjusted upwards, moving from Rs. 2750 to Rs. 3000. This modification reflects an ongoing effort to ensure that the pay structure for key administrative positions remains current and equitable. These updated rules became effective upon their official publication in the Gazette.
