Indian Administrative Service (Pay) Seventh Amendment Rules, 1977: Frontier Administrative Service Pay Entitlements

I

A crucial update has been issued by the Government of India, addressing the pay structure for a specialized cadre within the Indian Administrative Service. These new regulations, officially known as the Indian Administrative Service (Pay) Seventh Amendment Rules, 1977, introduce a specific provision to ensure fair remuneration for members of the Indian Frontier Administrative Service. Under these updated guidelines, individuals recruited into the Indian Frontier Administrative Service before January 1st, 1968, and holding designated positions as outlined in Schedule III, are now explicitly entitled to receive the pay corresponding to those posts. This amendment aims to clarify and formalize the pay entitlements for these long-serving officers, ensuring their remuneration aligns with their specific roles and contributions.
