Significant revisions have been introduced to the emoluments framework governing the Indian Administrative Service. These changes, marking the sixth amendment to the established pay regulations, aim to streamline designations for certain senior positions. Specifically, within state government administrations, a key alteration has been made concerning roles traditionally held by IAS officers in Punjab. Posts commanding a higher salary bracket than the standard service scale will now exclusively adopt the title of ‘Financial Commissioner,’ replacing previous dual designations like ‘Financial Commissioner (Revenue)’ or ‘Financial Commissioner.’ This update reflects an ongoing effort to clarify and update administrative structures for top-tier civil service roles, ensuring consistency and clear hierarchical definitions.

साठकाठ जिए सैन्या भारतीय प्रशासन सेवा हैवेतनई नियम, 1954 के नियम ।। के साथ एड्रिय अखिल भारतीय प्रशासन सेवा अधिनियम, 1951 (1951 का 618 की धारा 3 के उपधारा 818 द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियाँ जो प्रयोग करते हुए केन्द्रीय सरकार पंजाब सरकार के परामर्श से भारतीय प्रशासन सेवा हैवेतनई नियम, 1954 में और आगे यशोधान करने के लिए एतद्द्वारा निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है, अर्थात् :-
1. 818 इन नियमों का नाम भारतीय प्रशासन सेवा वेतन नियम 63वाँ यशोधान नियम, 1978 है ।
828 ये राजपत्र ये प्रकाशन की तारीख से प्रद्त्त होंगे ।
2- भारतीय प्रशासन सेवा हैवेतनई नियम 1954 के साथ रैलान अनुद्वजिक 111 -क में राज्य सरकारों के अधीन भारतीय प्रशासन सेवा के समय वेतन मान से अधिक वेतन पहले पद “शील्डिक के अधीन” पंजाब पब्लिक के आगे रहस्यारी पद “वित्त आयुक्त राजस्य” और “वित्त आयुक्त -पद” के स्थान पर “वित्त आयुक्त” प्रतिस्थापित किया जाय ।
