9.1 In case of currency of any penalty imposed on an officer included in the Select List, notification should be issued only after the currency of the penalty is over in terms of DoPT’s O.M. No.22034/5/2004-Estt(D) dated 15.12.2004. Such cases should be informed to this Department separately.
- In case of officers presently on deputation, they may repatriate to the cadre to avail promotion by submitting their willingness within 07 working days and reporting to CS.I Division within 30 working days of issuance of this order. Only on grant of proforma promotion, notification for their regular promotion shall be issued by the Ministry/Department concerned from where the officer proceeded on deputation.
-
The inclusion of officers in SGSL will remain subject to further orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in the Civil Appeal No. 629 of 2022 arising out of SLP(C) No. 30621/2011 titled Shri Jarnail Singh & Ors. V. Lachhmi Narain Gupta & Ors. and other connected matters.
