An important decision has been made regarding the state allocation of an official, Shri Devi Lal Chauhan, following a directive from the Hon’ble High Court of Allahabad. Mr. Chauhan had submitted representations seeking a revision of his allocation from Uttarakhand to Uttar Pradesh, citing his disinterest in serving in Uttarakhand and his promotion to Head Constable. However, an Advisory Committee meticulously reviewed his case, noting that his promotion was honorary rather than substantive and that his grounds did not align with existing Reorganization guidelines. Consequently, the Committee recommended rejecting his request for reallocation. The Government of India, after careful consideration of both the representation and the Committee’s recommendations, has upheld this decision. As a result, Shri Devi Lal Chauhan will continue to be allocated to the successor State of Uttarakhand. This outcome underscores the rigorous process involved in personnel allocation within government structures, especially concerning state reorganization directives and judicial mandates.
