साःकाः नि. 276 (अ).— राष्ट्रपति, संविधान के अनुच्छेद 309 के परन्तुक और अनुच्छेद 148 के खंड (5) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग ।।।।। और भारतीय लेखा- परीक्षा एवं लेखा विभाग में सेवारत व्यक्तियों के संबंध में भारत के निर्गतक महालेखा परीक्षक से परामर्श करने के पश्चात् मूल नियम का और संशोधन करने के लिए निम्नलिखित नियम बनाते हैं, अर्थात् —
(1) इन नियमों का नाम मूल (द्वितीय संशोधन) नियम, 1998 है । (2) ये राजपत्र में प्रकाशन की तारीख को प्रवृत्त होंगे । (3) मूल नियम के नियम 56 में खण्ड (क) के परन्तुक के पश्चात् निम्नलिखित परन्तुक अंतः स्थापित किया जाएगा :—
“परन्तु यह भी कि कोई ऐसा सरकारी कर्मचारी जिसने मई, 1998 को पहली तारीख को या उससे पहले अद्व्यवत वर्ष की आयु प्राप्त कर ली है और सेवा- विस्तार पर है, वह अपनी विस्तारित सेवा-अवधि को समाप्ति पर सेवा निवृत्त हो जाएगा।”

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 27th May, 1998
G.S.R. 276 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 and Clause (5) of Article 148 of the Constitution and in consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General, in regard to persons serving in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department, the President hereby makes the following rules, namely:—
(1) These Rules may be called the Fundamental (Second Amendment) Rules, 1998.
(2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
(3) In the Fundamental Rules, in Rule 56, after the proviso to Clause (a), the following proviso shall be inserted :—
“Provided further that a government servant who has attained the age of fifty eight years on or before the first day of May, 1998 and is on extension in service, shall retire from the service on expiry of his extended period of service.”
