This notification announces amendments to the Fundamental Rules governing personnel in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department. Notification
G.S.R …………- In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 and clause (5) of article 148 of the Constitution and after consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General in relation to the persons serving in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Fundamental Rules, namely:-
- (1) These rules may be called the Fundamental (Amendment) Rules, 1999.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. - In rule 49 of the Fundamental Rules,
(1) in clause (iii), (a) for the figures ” 39 “, the figures ” 45 ” shall be substituted;
(b) in the proviso for the words “Ministry of Finance,” the words “Department of Personnel and Training” shall be substituted,
(2) in clause (iv) for the letters and figures, “Rs. 8000”, the letters and figures “Rs. 26000” shall be substituted.
