A circular from the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions clarifies the discontinuation of Grant-in-aid to the Central Government Employees Welfare Coordination Committee (CGEWCC) for cultural activities and Indore Games & Secretarial Assistance. The matter regarding seeking approval for the formation of the CGEWCC has been examined, and it’s confirmed that the Grant-in-aid has already been discontinued, and the department has no role whatsoever in its affairs or formation. This decision has the approval of the Hon’ble MOS (PP).

Sir/Madam,

I am directed to invite attention towards this Department letter of even number dated 12.03.2018 regarding discontinuation of Grant-in-aid to Central Government Employees Welfare Coordination Committee (CGEWCC) for culture activities & Indore Games and Secretarial Assistance and to say that the matter regarding seeking approval for formation of the CGEWCC, received from various Central Government offices has been examined in this Department.

  1. In this connection, it is informed that the Grant-in-aid to CGEWCC has already been discontinued and it has now been decided that henceforth this Department has no role, whatsoever, in the affairs of CGEWCC and its formation.

  2. This has the approval of Hon’ble MOS (PP).
