With reference to Government of Sikkim letters no. 32294/G/DOP dated 7.01.2013, the question of fixation of seniority/year of allotment of officers, who were appointed to IAS by Selection (against SCS quota vacancies) from the Select Lists of 2008A and 2009 vide this Ministry’s notifications No.14015/20/2009-AIS(I)-(B) dated 29.03.2012, has been considered and the same has been computed under Rule 3(3)(ii) of IAS (Regulation of Seniority), Rules 1987 and other relevant rules as amended from time to time. Details are given in the following tables:-

  1. As per Rule 4 of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987, the officers whose name have been mentioned at SI. No. 1 to 3 of the select list of 2008A shall be placed enblock below Shri A.K.Chettri, allotted the juniormost Promotee IAS Officer of 1998 batch (SCS Quota against the Select List of 2008) and above Shri D Anandan, the senior most DR IAS officer of Sikkim Cadre of 2000 batch.Select List-2009 (For the vacancies of 2009)

  1. As per Rule 4 of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987, the officer whose name has been mentioned at Sl. No. 1 of the select list of 2009 shall be placed below Shri D Anandan, the only DR IAS officer of 2000 batch and above Sh Aunjaneya Kumar Singh, the senior most direct recruit IAS officer of 2005 batch of Sikkim cadre.
  2. The above order may be conveyed to the concerned officers.
