Government of India Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances \& Pensions (Department of Personnel \& Training) North Block, New Delhi Dated the 14th February, 2013 With reference to Government of Tamil Nadu’s letter 20.12.2011, the question of fixation of seniority/year of allotment of the officers who were appointed to IAS by promotion from the Select List of 2009 vide this Ministry’s notification No. 14015/21/2009-AIS(I)-B dated $2^{\text {nd }}$ August, 2010 has been considered and the same has been computed under Rule 3(3)(II) of IAS (Regulation of Seniority), Rules 1987 and other relevant rules as amended from time to time. Details are as under:-

2.1 As per Rule 4 of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987, the officer whose name has been mentioned at SI. No. 1 of the select list of 2009 shall be placed below Shri M. Balaji the junior most direct recruit IAS officer of 2005 batch and above Shri Hanish Chhabra, the senior most direct recruit IAS officer of 2006 batch of Tamil Nadu cadre. 2.2 As per Rule 4 of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987, the officer whose names have been mentioned at SI. No. 2 to 19 of the select list of 2009 shall be placed enblock below Smt Laxmi Priya G, junior most DR IAS officer of 2006 batch and above Shri Nantha Kumar K, the senior most direct recruit IAS officer of 2007 batch of Tamil Nadu cadre. 3.
