Dated the $9^{\text {th }}$ April 2013
The Government of West Bengal vide their letter no. 596-PAR (IAS)/5C-02/2012 dated $21^{\text {st }}$ March 2012 has sent a proposal for fixation of seniority of officers who have been appointed to IAS vide notification No. 14015/24/2012-AIS-I(B) dated $31^{\text {st }}$ December 2012 on the basis of inclusion of their name in the select list of 2011. The same has been computed under Rule 3(3)(ii) of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987 and other relevant rules as amended from time to time, till date and is as shown in column no. 08 of the table, which is as follows:-

  1. As per Rule 4 of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987, the officers whose name has been mentioned at Sl. No. 1 to 4 of the select list of 2011 shall be placed below Shri Sekhar Dutta, the junior most promotee IAS officer of 2002 batch of SCS and above Dr. Arabinda Ghosh, promotee IAS officer of Non-SCS category of 2002 batch of West Bengal cadre.
  2. As per Rule 4 of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules, 1987, the officers whose name has been mentioned at Sl. No. 5 to 8 of the select list of 2011 shall be placed below Ms. Sripriya Rengaran, only DR IAS officer of 2003 batch and above Shri P.M.K.C. Gandhi, Direct Recruit IAS officer of 2004 batch of West Bengal cadre
  3. The seniority /year of allotment of Shri Tapan Kanti Ganguli at Sl No 6 and Shri Nityananda Mandal at Sl. No. 7 have been restricted as per proviso of the Rule 3(3)(iii) of the IAS (Regulation of Seniority) Rules. 1987.
  4. The order may be conveyed to the concerned officer.
