OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Fixation of range of seniority for promotion from SSA (erstwhile UDC) of CSCS to Assistant Section Officer (erstwhile Assistant) of CSS-Select List for the year 2010 (SQ)-reg.

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s O.M. even number 3rd May, 2016 and subsequent reminder dated 16th May, 2016 on the subject mentioned above.

1. On perusal of the records it is observed that, so far, only a few cadre units have furnished the requisite information. The concerned cadre units are requested to take the following action:

   (i) Furnish the missing details of the officers whose names appear in Annexure-I of this O.M.

   (ii) Cancel the promotion order of the officials whose names appear in Annexure-II of this O.M as they had left the service prior to conduct of DPC.

   (iii) Furnish the DPC status/promotion order of the officers whose names appear in Annexure-III of this O.M.

2. Further, it has also been observed from the information received that some cadre units have not conducted DPC in respect of a few officers. The concerned cadre units are, therefore, requested to conduct DPC in respect of these officers whose names appear in Annexure-IV of this O.M. It is reiterated that DPC need to be held for the officers who were in service on crucial date i.e. 01-07-2010 but had retired subsequently on superannuation or otherwise (i.e. before their DPC could be held). However, their promotion order need not be issued by the cadre units.
