The Government of India has issued an order regarding the fixation of pay for officers in the Selection Grade (Deputy Secretary) of the Central Secretariat Service (CSS) who were included in the Select List for the year 1999. The pay of these officers may be fixed with effect from July 1, 1999, on a notional basis. However, actual financial benefits will only be available from the date the officers were appointed to the post of Deputy Secretary. All administrative ministries and departments are requested to notify the appointments of the officers on a regular basis with effect from July 1, 1999, and take action regarding the fixation of pay for officers working under them.

ORDER
Subject:- Fixation of pay of the officers of Selection Grade (Deputy Secretary) of CSS, included in the Select List for the year 1999.
The Selection Grade (Deputy Secretary) of CSS for the Select List year 1999 has
since been issued, vide this Department’s O.M. No.4/2/2006-CS.I dated 27.6.2007, the
pay of such officers may be fixed w.e.f. 1st July of 1999 on notional basis. The actual
financial benefits, however, would be available only from the date, the officers are/were
so appointed to the post of Deputy Secretary.
- All Administrative Ministries/Departments are requested to notify the
appointments of the officers on a regular basis w.e.f. 1st July of 1999 and take action
regarding fixation of pay in respect of officers working under them.
