A recent government decision has solidified the allocation of Head Constable Shri Satyavir Singh to the state of Uttarakhand. This ruling comes after a detailed review by a State Advisory Committee, which was prompted by a directive from the Hon’ble High Court of Allahabad. Shri Singh had sought a revised allocation to Uttar Pradesh, citing various personal and professional grounds, including his domicile, a promotion to sub-inspector (special category), and family health concerns. However, the committee’s findings indicated that his promotion was honorary rather than substantive, and his other arguments did not align with the Reorganization Guidelines. Consequently, the government has upheld the committee’s recommendation, confirming his continued posting in Uttarakhand. This resolution concludes a significant personnel matter that began with a judicial intervention.
