Extension of Validity for Local Purchase of Stationery from Cooperative Societies

This Office Memorandum from the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions extends the validity of the existing guidelines regarding the local purchase of stationery and other articles from Kendriya Bhandar, NCCF, and other Multi-State Cooperative Societies with majority Central Government shareholding. The validity has been extended for two years, up to March 31, 2012, following consideration by and concurrence with the Ministry of Finance (Department of Expenditure). This directive applies to all Ministries, Departments, and associated organizations of the Government of India, ensuring continued access to these cooperative sources for essential supplies. Copies have also been sent to the Ministry of Finance and the Managing Directors of relevant cooperative societies for information and action.

OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Local purchase of stationery and other articles from Kendriya Bhandar, NCCF and other Multi-State Cooperative Societies having majority shareholding by the Central Government.

The Ministries/Departments may kindly refer to Department of Personnel and Training O.M. No.14/12/94-Welfare (Vol.II) dated 5.7.2007 on the above subject. It is stated that the proposal for extension of the validity of the O.M. dated 5.7.2007 beyond 31.3.2010 has been under consideration in consultation with the Ministry of Finance (Department of Expenditure).

  1. The validity of the O.M.No.14/12/94-Welfare(Vol.II) dated 5.7.2007 has been extended with the approval of the competent authority for a period of two years beyond 31.3.2010 i.e. upto 31.3.2012.

  2. This issues with the concurrence of the Ministry of Finance Department of Expenditure vide their I.D. No.8(6)/E.IIA/2010 dated 26-2-2010.

  3. The contents of this Office Memorandum may be brought to the notice of all concerned.
