A drive to collect warm clothes for underprivileged sections of society, initiated under “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” and “Swachhta Pakhwada”, has been extended. The initiative, named “Sanchay”, has received a tremendous response. To accommodate further contributions from government employees, the collection period has been extended to the next Friday, December 10, 2021, from the original end date of December 3, 2021. This extension allows employees more time to gather and donate suitable clothing items. The generosity of participants is highly appreciated.

Subject: – संचय under the aegis of “आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव” and “स्वछता पखवाड़ा” – Collection of used clothes, – extension of the drive – regarding
The undersigned is directed to refer to the Circular of even number dated 29.11.2021 on the above mentioned subject (Copy enclosed). In this regard, it is stated that the drive to collect warm clothes for the under privileged sections of the society has received overwhelming response. Many requests have been received for extending the duration of the drive to next week so that the Government employees can utilize the weekend to locate more material in their homes for donation.
- To honour such requests, it has been decided to extend the drive (संचय) beyond 3.12.2021 to next Friday i.e. 10.12.2021.

The country is celebrating “आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव” and it has presented an opportunity to share our privileges with the less fortunate sections of the society. As winter has set in a drive to distribute warm wearable clothes to people in need is envisaged under the initiative “संचय” wherein all Government employees are requested to donate clothes in good condition for distribution to the under privileged people.
- Those desirous of donating may drop their clothes at all entry/exit points of North Block and other frequently visited places such as canteen etc.. Collection boxes are being placed at all such locations. Cooperation and whole hearted participation requested from all Government employees. This drive will run from 29.11.2021 to 3.12.2021
