The Central Government has extended the term of Shri Vishwanath Anand, Chairman of the State Advisory Committee, Uttar Pradesh. This extension, effective from the previous order dated March 17, 2006, allows him to continue assisting the government with its functions concerning State/Government employees (excluding All India Services). The new term is set to conclude on March 31, 2007, or until further orders are issued, whichever comes first. The existing terms of the Chairman’s appointment will remain the same. The order has been communicated for information to the Chief Secretaries of Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, as well as to Shri Vishwanath Anand.

ORDER

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 76 of the Uttar Pradesh Reorganization Act, 2000 and in continuation of this Department’s order of even number dated $17^{\text {th }}$ March, 2006, Central Government is pleased to extend the term of the State Advisory Committee, Uttar Pradesh under the Chairmanship of Shri Vishwanath Anand (IAS:Uttanchal:1965-Retd.) to assist the Central Government in discharging its functions with regard to the State/Government employees, other than All India Services, till $31^{\text {st }}$ March, 2007 or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The terms of the appointment of the Chairman shall remain unchanged.
