In a significant development for the Indian administrative service, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has granted an extension for the inter-cadre deputation of Smt. Chaitra V, an IAS officer from the 2007 Uttar Pradesh cadre. Her deputation to the Karnataka cadre has been prolonged for an additional period of two years, effective from July 5, 2019.
