In a significant administrative decision, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the continuation of an inter-cadre deputation for a distinguished Indian Administrative Service officer. Shri Pankaj Yadav, an IAS officer from the 2001 batch of the Haryana cadre, will extend his service within the Uttar Pradesh cadre for an additional two years. This extension, granted on personal grounds, will be effective from January 14, 2016, onward. Such deputations are a common practice in civil services, allowing officers to gain diverse experience across different states while ensuring continuity in administrative functions.
