In a recent development, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has greenlit a significant extension for a prominent Indian Police Service (IPS) officer. Shri K. Satyanarayana, an IPS officer from the 1998 batch of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, will continue his inter-cadre deputation to the Andhra Pradesh cadre for an additional two years. This extension comes after his initial three-year tenure, demonstrating continuity in vital administrative roles across states. The decision, stemming from a proposal by the Ministry of Home Affairs, ensures that experienced personnel remain deployed where their services are deemed essential for an extended period, reflecting strategic personnel management within the Indian government.
