In a significant administrative decision, a senior Indian Administrative Service officer has been granted an extension for his inter-cadre deputation. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet recently approved the proposal for Shri Aunjaneya Kumar Singh, an IAS officer from the 2005 batch, who is currently with the Sikkim cadre, to continue his service in the Uttar Pradesh cadre for an additional year. This extension will take effect beyond August 14, 2024, and notably, it has been granted as a relaxation of the prevailing policy, showcasing flexibility in personnel management within the civil services.
