The central government has recently approved a significant personnel move, extending the inter-cadre deputation for an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. Shri Syed Fakhruddin Hamid, an officer from the 2017 batch of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, will continue his posting to the AGMUT cadre, specifically for the Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory. This extension is granted for a period of one year, starting from July 7, 2024, and was facilitated by a special relaxation of existing policy rules, underscoring the importance of his continued service in the region.

भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा (संवर्ग) नियमावली, 1954 के नियम 6(1) के द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, केंद्र सरकार, एतद्ववारा श्री सईद फख़रूद्दीन हामिद, आईएएस (एएमः2017) की असम-मेघालय संवर्ग से एजीएमयूटी संवर्ग (जम्मू एवं कश्मीर संघ राज्य क्षेत्र) में अंतर संवर्ग प्रतिनियुक्ति की अवधि को, नीति में छूट प्रदान करते हुए, 07.07.2024 से आगे एक वर्ष की अवधि के लिए बढ़ाने हेतु अनुमोदन प्रदान करती है।
