Extension of Inter-Cadre Deputation for IAS Officer Shri Akshay Labroo

E

Exciting news from the civil service front! A recent official announcement confirms the extension of a significant inter-cadre deputation for a distinguished Indian Administrative Service officer. Shri Akshay Labroo, an IAS officer from the 2018 Tripura cadre, will continue his tenure with the AGMUT cadre, specifically serving in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. This extension is granted for an additional year, pushing his deputation period beyond February 17, 2025. What’s particularly noteworthy is that this approval has been made in relaxation of existing policy, highlighting the unique circumstances or requirements for his continued service. The notification also underscores the importance of adherence to the new tenure, with clear directives regarding disciplinary action for any non-compliance in handing over charge post-deputation. This move reflects ongoing administrative adjustments and the strategic deployment of talent within India’s civil services to meet evolving regional needs.
