Extension of Inter-Cadre Deputation for IAS Officer H.R. Srinivasa Approved

The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Department of Personnel & Training has issued a notification regarding the extension of inter-cadre deputation for Shri H.R. Srinivasa, an IAS officer from the Bihar cadre to the Karnataka cadre. This extension is for a further period of two years beyond September 10, 2011, and is approved as a special case on compassionate grounds, with the condition that it will not be quoted as a precedent. The approval is granted under Rule 6(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954, and with the concurrence of the Governments of Bihar and Karnataka. The officer’s deputation is subject to a maximum of seven years away from his cadre. The notification also includes a list of officials and departments to whom the copy is forwarded for necessary action, including the Chief Secretaries of Bihar and Karnataka, the Accountants General of both states, and Shri H.R. Srinivasa himself. It is stipulated that Shri Srinivasa will be liable for disciplinary action and break in service if he fails to hand over charge at the end of the approved deputation period. The pay of the officer should not be drawn for the period beyond the approved deputation duration.

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by Rule 6(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954 and with the concurrence of the Governments of Bihar and Karnataka, the Central Govt. hereby accords approval for extension of inter cadre deputation of Shri H.R. Srinivasa, IAS (BH:96) from Bihar cadre to Karnataka cadre for a further period of two years beyond September 10, 2011 i.e. subject to the maximum of 7 years away from the cadre, on compassionate grounds as a special case, not to be quoted as a precedent.
