The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension of the deputation tenure of Shri Rakesh Aggarwal, IPS (HP:1994), who serves as the Joint Director at the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). This extension grants him an additional two years beyond September 2, 2020, specifically from September 3, 2020, to September 2, 2022, which accounts for a total of seven combined years, or until further instructions are given, whichever comes first.
