The competent authority has approved the extension of deputation tenure for Shri Daljeet Singh, an IPS officer serving as SP in the CBI. The extension is for one year beyond May 11, 2021, up to May 11, 2022, completing a total of six years. This is contingent upon obtaining clearance from the Supreme Court of India for relieving the officer, whichever occurs first.
