The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of the deputation tenure of Ms. Sampat Meena, IPS (JH:1994), who serves as the Additional Director at the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The extension is for a period of one year beyond September 21, 2024, effectively prolonging her tenure up to September 21, 2025, bringing her total tenure to eight years. The decision has been made in relaxation of IPS Tenure Policy.
