The Government of India has extended the term of Shri S.A.T. Rizvi, an IAS officer (Retd.), as the Chairman of the State Advisory Committee, Uttar Pradesh. This extension, effective from July 1, 2009, will last for six months and is based on the existing terms and conditions of his appointment. The committee’s role is to assist the Central Government in its functions related to State Government employees, excluding All India Services. This order follows a previous one dated December 11, 2008, and is issued under Section 76 of the Uttar Pradesh Reorganization Act, 2000.

ORDER
In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 76 of the Uttar Pradesh Reorganization Act, 2000 and in continuation of this Department’s order of even number dated 11-12-2008, the Government of India is pleased to extend the term of Shri S.A.T. Rizvi, IAS (Retd.) (UP-1965), as the Chairman of the State Advisory Committee, Uttar Pradesh, to assist the Central Government in discharging its functions with regard to the State Government employees, other than All India Services, for a further period of six months w.e.f.01-07-2009, on the existing terms and conditions of his appointment.
