Extension of Advisory Committee Tenure for Post Bifurcation Between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

The Central Government has extended the tenure of the Advisory Committee responsible for bifurcating posts and personnel between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. This extension, effective from April 1, 2017, will continue until the allocation process is complete. The committee will continue to be chaired by the Secretary of the Department of Personnel and Training, with its composition and terms of reference remaining unchanged. The order also lists the members of the committee, including representatives from the Department of Personnel & Training, Chief Secretaries of both states, and Secretaries involved in re-organization efforts. Copies have been distributed to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

ORDER

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 80 of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014 and in continuation of the order issued vide even number dated 29.12.2016, the Central Government hereby extends the tenure of the Advisory Committee for bifurcation of posts and personnel (other than All India Services), between the successor States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with effect from 1.4.2017 till such time the allocation process is completed, under the chairmanship of Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training.

  1. The composition and terms of reference of the Advisory Committee shall remain the same.

  2. This may be brought to the notice of all concerned.
