Extension in Deputation Tenure of IPS Officers in CBI

The competent authority has approved the extension of the deputation tenure for two IPS officers serving in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Dr. Sonal Chandra’s tenure as DIG, CBI, is extended for one year beyond June 30, 2024, up to June 30, 2025. Shri Murali Rambha’s tenure as SP, CBI, is extended for two years beyond July 7, 2024, up to July 7, 2026.

ORDER

Approval of the Competent Authority is hereby conveyed for:-
(i) Extension in deputation tenure of Dr. Sonal Chandra, IPS (TN:2008), DIG, CBI for a period of one-year beyond 30.06.2024 i.e. form 01.07.2024 to 30.06 .2025 ( 6 years in total) or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
(ii) Extension in deputation tenure of Shri Murali Rambha, IPS (TN:2011), SP, CBI for a period of two years beyond 07.07.2024 i.e. from 08.07.2024 to 07.07.2026 ( 7 years in total) or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
