This office memorandum clarifies the age criteria for exemption from mandatory training under the CSS-CTP (Central Secretariat Service – Capacity Building Programme). It states that officers who are 58 years or older as of July 1st of the financial year in which the training is held are exempt from the training requirement. All ministries and departments are instructed to inform their Central Secretariat Service officers about this stipulation. OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: Exemption from mandatory training under CSS-CTP: reckoning of cut-off age of 58 years.
Reference is invited to provisions under CSS-CTP circulated vide OM No. 1/1/2009-CS I (Trg) dated 24.2.2010. It is hereby clarified that under CSS-CTP, the Officers who are more than 58 years of age, as on 1st July of the Financial Year in which the training is actually conducted, are exempted from mandatory training.
- All the Ministries/Departments may bring the above stipulation under CSS-CTP to the notice of all the officers of the Central Secretariat Service in their respective Ministries/Departments.
