The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the empanelment of eight Indian Administrative Service officers to the position of Additional Secretary or equivalent. The officers empanelled are Sumeet Jerath, Saraswati Prasad, Sujit Gulati, Sanjeev Gupta, M. Gopal Reddy, Iqbal Singh Bains, Sanjeev Chopra, and Pawan Kumar Agarwal, all from the 1985 batch, representing various state cadres including Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and West Bengal.
