Discontinuation of Steno Grade ‘D’ Nomination via Departmental Exam

D

This office memorandum from the Department of Personnel & Training clarifies that regular vacancies for Stenographer Grade ‘D’ will be filled solely through direct recruitment via the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). The CSSS Rules, 2010, do not allow for LDC/UDC candidates to be considered for these positions. Consequently, all ministries and departments are instructed to cease forwarding applications to the SSC for the limited departmental competitive exam previously used for these roles. This change aligns with the recruitment procedures outlined in the CSSS Rules, 2010, emphasizing direct recruitment as the exclusive pathway to Stenographer Grade ‘D’ positions.
