This declaration is made in observance of the birthday of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and is authorized under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. All Ministries and Departments are instructed to disseminate this information to relevant parties. The memorandum also lists various organizations and offices to which this notification is being sent, including constitutional bodies, commissions, and secretariats.

Subject: Declaration of Holiday on 14^{th } April, 2021 – Birthday of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
It has been decided to declare Wednesday, the 14^{th } April 2021, as a public holiday on account of the birthday of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, for all Central Government Offices, including Industrial Establishments throughout India by invoking the powers under Section 25 of Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
