A recent government decision has clarified the allocation status of a Senior Treasury Officer, Shri Shailendra Shankar Singh. The Ministry of Personnel, P.G. and Pensions, acting on directions from the Hon’ble High Court of Allahabad, reviewed a representation concerning his allocation. A special committee, formed for this purpose, meticulously examined the case. It was determined that the officer was the juniormost in his category from the 1986 batch, based on the 1998 seniority list. While the medical board confirmed his wife’s serious medical condition and ongoing treatment, the committee concluded that the case did not meet the specific medical hardship criteria for allocation to Uttar Pradesh. Consequently, the committee recommended rejecting his plea for allocation to Uttar Pradesh. The Government of India has accepted this recommendation, and Shri Shailendra Shankar Singh has been allocated to Uttarakhand.
