The Indian government has upheld the allocation of Shri Raja Ram, a Junior Assistant in the Jail Department, to Uttarakhand. This decision came after a committee reviewed his representation, which was submitted in response to a High Court order. The committee found that his initial allocation to Uttarakhand, falling under the juniormost category, was consistent with established guidelines. While acknowledging his personal grounds, such as his father’s illness and the need to care for his parents, the committee determined that these reasons were not covered under the existing State Reorganisation guidelines. The Government of India subsequently accepted the committee’s recommendation to reject the representation, confirming Shri Raja Ram’s continued posting in Uttarakhand.
