An important update has been issued concerning the seniority framework for Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. This revision clarifies the correct placement of several officers from the 2023 Select List (SCS Category) within the Maharashtra cadre. According to the revised guidelines, these officers are to be positioned strategically in the seniority list, specifically below a 2015 batch Regular Recruit IAS officer and above a 2015 batch Non-State Civil Service promotee IAS officer. This adjustment is crucial for maintaining clarity and adherence to the established seniority rules governing the service, ensuring equitable career progression based on foundational regulations.
