An official order has been issued to correct the allocation of Shri Bhagchand Jain, an Assistant Engineer in the Department of Water Resources. Initially, due to an error in the seniority list, he was tentatively allocated to Madhya Pradesh. However, after a revision of the seniority list and a subsequent review by a committee, it was found that Shri Bhagchand Jain, who was junior to Shri Subhash Chandra Gupta, was allocated to Madhya Pradesh while Shri Gupta was allocated to Chhattisgarh. This was identified as an irregularity not in line with allocation guidelines. Consequently, the committee rejected Shri Gupta’s request for re-allocation and recommended that Shri Bhagchand Jain’s allocation be revised from Madhya Pradesh to Chhattisgarh. This recommendation has been accepted by the Central Government, and the order is to formally correct Shri Bhagchand Jain’s allocation to Chhattisgarh.

ORDER
Sub.: – Correction of allocation of Shri Bhagchand Jain, Assistant Engineer, Department of Water Resources from Madhya Pradesh to Chhattisgarh.
Shri Bhagchand Jain, Assistant Engineer, Department of Water Resources was allocated to the State of Madhya Pradesh at the time of tentative allocation, as his seniority was shown at Sl. No. 2822-A erroneously. However, before final allocation, the seniority list was revised and Shri Bhagchand Jain was placed at Sl. No. 3071-A and inadvertently, he was to be allocated the State of M.P. However the then State Advisory Committee decided to maintain status quo in respect of allocation of Shri Bhagchand Jain.
2. Subsequently, the above irregularity came to the notice of the Committee in its meeting held at Bhopal on 20.09.2013 while considering the representation of Shri Subhash Chandra Gupta, Assistant Engineer. It was noticed that Shri Bhagchand Jain who was junior to Shri Gupta, was allocated to Madhya Pradesh; whereas Shri Gupta was allocated to State of Chhattisgarh. The Committee observed that it was not in accordance with the guidelines of allocation. Accordingly, the Committee has also rejected the representation of Shri Subhash Chandra Gupta for re-allocation to Madhya Pradesh and recommended revision of allocation of Shri Bhagchand Jain from Madhya Pradesh to Chhattisgarh.
3. The above recommendations of the Committee have been accepted by the Central Government and accordingly the Central Government orders to correct the allocation of Shri Bhagchand Jain, Assistant Engineer from Madhya Pradesh to Chhattisgarh.
