This Office Memorandum from the Department of Personnel & Training addresses the extension of ad-hoc appointments in the PS Grade of the Central Secretariat Service (CSSS). It references previous O.M.s dated 31.3.2011 and 24.5.2011 regarding the promotion of eligible Personal Assistants (PAs) to the post of Private Secretary on an ad-hoc basis. Subject: -Continuance of ad-hoc appointments in PS Grade of CSSS reg.
The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s O.M. of even number dated 31.3.2011 and 24.5.2011 on the above mentioned subject, wherein the Cadre Units were allowed to promote eligible PAs from S.No. 3 in the Common Seniority List (CSL) of PAs of Select List Year 1993, 1994 and upto CSL No. 491 in the CSL of PAs for the Select List Years 1995-2003 (General), from S.No. 232 in the CSL of PA for the Select List Year 1994 upto 574 in the CSL of PA for the Select List Year 1995-2003(SC) and PAs who have completed 5 years approved service as on 1.7.2010(ST) to the post of Private Secretary on adhoc basis for a period upto 30/9/2011 pending availability of regular PSs, whichever is earlier.
- Further continuance of these ad-hoc appointments have been reviewed in this Department. Since availability of regular PS of CSSS through normal modes of recruitment prescribed under the CSSS Rules may take some more time, the competent authority has decided that the term of ad-hoc appointments in the PS Grade of CSSS may be extended for a further period upto 31.03.2012 or till regular PSs of CSSS become available, whichever is earlier. The continuation of the adhoc appointments beyond 30.9.2011 is subject to the condition mentioned in this Department’s aforementioned O.M dated 31.3.2011.
