Continuance of ad-hoc appointments in PA Grade of CSSS

This office memorandum details the extension of ad-hoc appointments for Personal Assistants (PAs) within the Central Secretariat Service (CSSS). Initially permitted until June 30, 2012, the continuation of these appointments has been reviewed. Due to anticipated delays in regular recruitment, the ad-hoc appointments of currently serving PAs are extended until December 31, 2012, or until regular PAs are available, whichever comes first. A Hindi translation of this memorandum will also be issued.

OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Continuance of ad-hoc appointments in PA Grade of CSSS – regarding.

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s O.M. of even number dated 12.1.2012 whereby Cadre Units were permitted to continue the ad-hoc appointments in the PA Grade of CSSS upto 30.06.2012 and to say that the continuation of the ad-hoc appointments in the PA Grade made by the Cadre Units have been reviewed in this Department. Since availability of regular PAs through normal modes of recruitment prescribed under the CSSS Rules may take some more time, it has been decided that the period of ad-hoc appointments of those PAs who have already been working as PAs on ad-hoc basis may be extended upto 31^{st } December, 2012 or till regular PAs become available, whichever is earlier.
