Constitution of the State Advisory Committee for Uttar Pradesh Reorganization Act

This order establishes a State Advisory Committee to address matters concerning State Government employees following the Uttar Pradesh Reorganization Act of 2000. The committee will include Shri G.N. Mehra as Chairman, along with nominees from the Chief Secretaries of Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, an Additional Secretary from the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pension, and an officer coordinating the Reorganisation Cell in Uttar Pradesh, who will also serve as Secretary. The order also requests nominations from the respective Chief Secretaries.

ORDER

  1. In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 76 of the Uttar Pradesh Reorganization Act, 2000, the Central Government hereby constitutes the State Advisory Committee in regard to State Government employees other than All India Services.

  2. The composition of the State Advisory Committee will be:

    (i) Shri G.N. Mehra (IAS 1955 UP – Retired) Chairman

    (ii) Chief Secretary, Government of Uttar Pradesh or his nominee not below the rank of Secretary to the State Government, representing the State Government. Member

    (iii) Chief Secretary, Government of Uttaranchal or his nominee not below the rank of Secretary to the State Government, representing the State Government. Member

    (iv) Additional Secretary (Pension), Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pension, or his nominee not below the rank of Director to the Govt. of India, representing the Central Government. Member

    (v) An officer not below the rank of Secretary to the State Government coordinating the Reorganisation Cell in the State of Uttar Pradesh existing immediately before the appointed day. Member Secretary
