Constitution of Committee for Employee Allocation Post Uttar Pradesh Reorganisation

A committee has been formed by the Central Government, under the authority of Section 76 of the Uttar Pradesh Reorganisation Act 2000, to address employee representations concerning their allocation between the successor states of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. This committee, chaired by Dr. S.K. Sarkar, Joint Secretary (AT, A & CS), will review these representations department-wise where the allocation process has concluded. The committee’s composition includes Principal Secretaries and Secretaries or their nominees from Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, along with a Deputy Secretary (SR). The Uttar Pradesh Coordination and Reorganisation Department will serve as the secretariat, preparing the agenda for monthly meetings. The committee will convene once a month for department-wise deliberations.

In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 76 of the Uttar Pradesh Reorganisation Act- 2000, the Central Government has decided to constitute a Committee under the Chairmanship of Dr. S.K. Sarkar, Joint Secretary (AT, A \& CS) of this Department to consider the representations in connection with allocation of the employees between the successor-states of Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakhand. This Committee will look into the representations received from the employees, Department wise, where the allocation process has already been completed.
2. The composition of the Committee is as under:-
(i) Dr. S.K. Sarkar – Chairman
(ii) Principal Secretary / nominee Coordinating – Member the reorganisation Work in Uttar Pradesh
(iii) Principal Secretary / nominee coordinating – Member the reorganisation work in Uttrakhand
(iv) Secretary / nominee of concerned – Member Department of Uttar Pradesh
(v) Secretary / nominee of concerned – Member Department of Uttarkhand.
(vi) Deputy Secretary (SR) – Member
3. The Uttar Pradesh Coordination and Reorganisation Department will be the secretariat for preparation of agenda for the meeting.
4. The Committee will hold a meeting once in a month, department-wise.
