This notification from the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training, outlines a new classification of civil posts. As per the powers vested by Article 309 of the Constitution and the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965, all civil posts under the Government of India, except for those in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department, will be classified into three groups based on their pay matrix levels. Group ‘A’ posts are those with a pay matrix level from 10 to 18. Group ‘B’ posts are those with a pay matrix level from 6 to 9. Group ‘C’ posts are those with a pay matrix level from 1 to 5. The notification supersedes a previous notification dated August 20, 2014, with certain exceptions. The term ‘level’ as used in this order refers to the level specified in the third row of Part ‘A’ of the Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2016.

का.आ. 3578(अ).—राष्ट्रपति, केन्द्रीय सिविल सेवा (वर्गीकरण, नियंत्रण और अपील) नियम, 1965 के नियम 6 के साथ पठित संविधान के अनुच्छेद 309 के परंतुक द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए और भारत सरकार के कार्मिक, लोक शिकायत और पेंशन मंत्रालय (कार्मिक और प्रशिक्षण विभाग) की अधिसूचना संख्या का.आ. 2079 (अ) तारीख 20 अगस्त, 2014 की, उन बातों के सिवाय अधिकान्त करते हुए जिन्हें ऐसे अधिक्रमण से पूर्व किया गया है या करने का लोप किया गया है, निदेश देते हैं कि राजपत्र में इस आदेश के प्रकाशन की तारीख से संघ के अधीन भारतीय लेखा-परीक्षा और लेखा विभाग में सेवारत व्यक्तियों के सिवाय सभी सिविल पद निम्न प्रकार से वर्गीकृत किए जाएंगे:—

स्पष्टीकरण: इस आदेश के प्रयोजन के लिए किसी पद के संबंध में ‘स्तर’ से केन्द्रीय सिविल सेवा (पुनरीक्षित वेतन) नियम, 2016 की अनुसूची के भाग ‘क’ की तीसरी पंक्ति में विनिर्दिष्ट स्तर अभिप्रेत है।
