Clarification on Service Counting for Empanelment as Additional Secretary/Secretary

OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Clarification on counting of service rendered by officers as Private Secretary/Officer-on-Special Duty to Ministers for the purpose of empanelment as Additional Secretary/Secretary in Government of India.

It is clarified that the services rendered by an officer (of a service participating under the Central Staffing Scheme) as Private Secretary/OSD to Ministers will be treated as service under the Central Staffing Scheme, for the purpose of empanelment as Additional Secretary/Secretary to the Government of India.
